About

Hi, I’m Kris. Welcome to Sego Made.

I’m a Salt Lake City local. When I’m not creating glass pieces, I’m usually out exploring and taking in all of the natural beauty I’m so lucky to be surrounded by. The environment here is my main source of inspiration for my work.

Sego Made came about because my late grandfather was a stained glass hobbyist for over 20 years and taught me the craft. He also left me his tools when he passed, and I still use them today to bring my own work into the world. Making stained glass makes me feel connected to him as well as to my local community in sharing beautiful things.

The name Sego Made is inspired by my grandfather’s hometown, Sego, which is now a ghost town in southeastern Utah. Additionally, the Sego lily is the official flower of my beloved state, Utah. Understated at first glance, the more you look at it the more you notice the details that make it special.

I hope you enjoy this space and can find something that inspires you. Thanks for stopping by and please reach out to me if you have any questions or want to chat.
